With a commitment to service-learning, Lewis Hall features a building-wide focus on community service and outreach which partners residents with a variety of programs on-campus and in the greater Lawrence community. Service experiences with the KU Center for Community Outreach as well as involvement with the Lewis hall student government provide fun and meaningful connections outside the classroom. Everyone who lives in Lewis Hall selects an area of community service and completes eight service hours per semester as well as a personal journal related to the project.
